Portal Cranes – also called goliath cranes – are regarded as the heavy lifters in the materials handling industry. Due to their ability of having cantilevers, this allows the load to be lifted outside their set rail centres, therefore, maximising the working area of your job site.These cranes are commonly used in outdoor applications such as shipping, fabrication, concrete, steel, container, and rail yards where full overhead crane systems and their supporting structures are not feasible. With loads up to 500 tonnes on Standard RGM products and spans up to +35 m, we’ll ensure your entire work area is covered with heavy lifting capabilities.
We can engineer a semi-portal crane system which can accommodate lighter to medium loads. These cranes are synonymous in improving your workflow and processes. Our engineers can ascertain if your existing building and floor can handle the loading required.
